VBAC with Confidence
everything you need to approach your VBAC with confidence
Preparing to welcome your next baby after a previous caesarean can feel overwhelming.
Maybe you’ve been told ‘once a caesarean, always a caesarean’ everyone seems to have an opinion on what you should be doing. Another caesarean birth or a vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC).
And once you make the choice to prepare for a VBAC, what do you do next? How do you find a caregiver that will support you to have VBAC? Someone that will truly respect your decisions and preferences?
On top of that, there comes the worry about giving birth. Maybe you’re worried about the birth itself. Maybe you’re worried that you’re not strong enough to do it. Or perhaps you’re more worried that your decisions, your preferences and your voice won’t be honoured.
And you’ve already got little one/s at home and you’re worried about how you are going to find the time to prepare for your birth.
But even with all the overwhelm and worry, you know that you don’t want to go down the same path as last time if there is another way. You want to plan and prepare for a truly positive birth experience, you want to prepare for your VBAC.
What if there was another way?
Imagine, if instead of feeling overwhelmed with information and other’s opinions, you felt confident to make informed decisions. Decisions that are right for you and your baby, even when faced with challenges or changes in circumstances
Imagine, if instead of feeling worried or anxious about your birth, you felt empowered and confident knowing that you had all the tools, knowledge and preparation you needed for a truly positive experience.
Imagine approaching your VBAC confident in the knowledge that you had all the best people around you, supporting you on your journey. Knowing that your birth partner felt confident to support you physically, emotionally and mentally during your labour and birth and was there to advocate for you so you could focus on having your beautiful baby.
Imagine, instead of worrying about whether you ‘can do it’ you trust the process of birth and your body’s ability to birth your baby.
I know all of this is possible. How do I know? I’ve been there. Over my journey from emergency caesarean during labour to having two incredible, empowering and healing VBACs.
I went from fearing birth, worried that my decisions weren’t going to be respected and feeling like I had failed to approaching my birth feeling educated and empowered. Confident in the knowledge that I had the information, tools and preparation to have a truly positive birth experience.

I’ve been where you are…
I went into my first birth with my eyes wide shut and blind optimism that ‘I’ve got this’. Unfortunately, I hadn’t prepared, my husband had no idea how to support me (and in fact spent most of the birth reading a book!) and by the end of it all, I didn’t get the birth I had hoped for. Quite the opposite – my birth story ended up being written by my caregivers and ended up with a caesarean during labour.
When I fell pregnant with my second baby, I absolutely knew there had to be a different way to have a baby. I felt I had failed my first baby and there was no way I was going to do that for my second.
So I read, I researched, I did everything I could to prepare for my VBAC. But there was still something missing – my confidence. Confidence in myself and in my ability to birth my baby.
VBAC with Confidence is everything I wished I had when I was trying to decide if a) a VBAC vaginal birth after caesarean was for me; b) figuring out the best way to prepare for a VBAC and c) find the confidence have challenging conversations and navigate the system.
I went on to have two more babies, both VBACs (vaginal births after caesarean). And their births were so different from the first. They were positive, joyful days. Days where I felt like something inside of me shifted and I found a strength I never knew existed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I join?
Easy – simply click the link below and I will send you everything you need. You can pay via direct deposit or credit/debit card
Can you promise that I will have a VBAC if I do this course?
Unfortunately no. No one can guarantee you will have a VBAC. You can do all the preparation, have the best caregivers, make all the ‘right’ decisions and still end up with a medically necessary caesarean birth.
But what you can do is feel confident that you have done everything possible to give yourself the best chance at having a VBAC.
I am planning a hospital birth, is this course for me?
Yes – absolutely. Whether you are planning a hospital birth, home birth or a birth centre birth this course is for you. Throughout the course, we cover all birth environment options and how best to support your VBAC in each of these environments.
Are birth partners welcome to classes?
Absolutely!
Whether your birth partner is your husband, partner, girlfriend, wife, mum, sister, bestie or third-grade teacher, they are not only welcome, I encourage them to attend.
VBAC with Confidence is not just for Mums. Birth partners also learn practical, hands-on ways they can support you during your pregnancy and labour.
Birth partners can have such a big role to play in not only supporting you physically and emotionally during your birth, but they can often feel a little ‘lost’ and unsure of how they can support you. My VBAC with Confidence classes give them everything they need to feel confident that they can support you during your labour.
When is the best time to start classes?
You can attend classes anytime during your pregnancy. Many women choose to do the course earlier in their pregnancy as we discuss whether a VBAC is for you and how to find a VBAC supportive caregiver.
This gives you time to practice the techniques you will be using during labour and birth. I also found that once I had done the classes, I had more confidence to discuss with my care providers my preferences.
Having said that, it is never too late! There are options available to give you the opportunity to learn these techniques prior to birth. I’ve worked with mums who have started the course at 37 weeks and gone onto have positive, empowering birth experiences.
